As you are reviewing these services, please understand that these are typical fee structures and may change depending on each client's situation. These are just ballpark figures so you can have a clear idea about potential charges. As a self-employed person, I am always concerned about other small businesses and self-employed people and would like for you to have every opportunity possible to succeed. It is a must that I remind you that the government agencies have a bazillion programs to help everyone. If you are not familiar with the Small Business Administration, then you really need to get close and personal with this agency. I will say that it is not uncommon for them to offer accounting training and other services which can save you alot of money. Also, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program offers free tax help and in some cases may even prepare your tax return. This is a service that low income people should consider if they want to save money. It is also in the works that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has partnered with some companies to offer free electronic filing services. Not only that, certain over the counter tax products allow free electronic filing up to a certain number of returns for those who would like to do their own tax return. You will have to contact the IRS for more information on VITA and the other programs. By far, I am not discouraging you to hire my services, I just want you to have every opportunity to succeed. Not only that, some people really just like the comfort of a dedicated professional. By the way, I encourage you to contact your City's Economic Development Department to research what programs are available for small businesses with respect to financing your business and financial incentives to develop and open businesses in particular areas.
