Past I had always enjoyed singing and making, what we called back in the day, slow tapes. These slow tapes had the most beautiful love songs. My artist of choice was Luther Vandross. It seemed that, at that time, he consistently created songs that directly related to what I was going through concerning love. I guess you can say those slow tapes would be my first introduction to singing. I actually did not become interested in rapping until later. If you are waiting for me to tell you that I have been singing all of my life; I guess that is a true statement, but not really. I was never a lead vocalist. I sung in the gospel choir, but nothing more than a member of the choir. Not only that, in high school, I was told consistently not to sing because I was that bad. In accordance with that, I had been told all of my life that I did not have the talent to sing. Actually, I was not able to hold a decent note or display any real vocal control until after high school. I even became the cadence caller while I was in the military. Over time, I would find that, always in some capacity, I was working on music in some way. I was either purchasing equipment for my studio or visiting places where singers hung out. By life trade, I consider myself an artist. I love music. I love to rap and sing. I love to sing R&B just as much as I love to sing the Blues, Jazz, and Hip Hop/Rap. With all of that, I also consider myself a Poet. I have more traditional Poetry written than any of the other styles of music that I love. My biography is simply that I love to sing and now, this year, starting January 2003, I will begin to create my history of performances. This is actually an autobiography, maybe in the future someone will do my bio. Smile... |

Present I believe that music is its own type of freedom. My goal is to make my music available via the World Wide Web. The advances in technology in many respects over the next 10 years will make physical CDs nearly obsolete. I think this is great news for artist like me who are really turned off by the business side of the music industry. I think it is important to create a product to sell to the public because the artist and the company have to earn money to support the art, but I think it is unfortunate that an artist's creativity can be, and sometimes is, sacrificed for the sake of timetables. My belief is that it is hard for an artist to really connect with a song and then connect the song to the people/audience if they are stressed about the timetable or are at a point in their lives where they really can not relate to the song. My goal is to sing a number of songs that you will enjoy and create my own songs and my own interpretations of other songs. I am excited about the remakes because I will hopefully be able to express to you how I hear these songs.

Future My goal is to sell all of my original music over the web. My belief is that you should only pay for songs that you like and feel free to financially support me as an artist as much as you like. I could go and sign with a record label and do it that way, but I believe that making the music available to everyone is a win-win situation for artist and audience. Thank you for all of your support.
